WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A BARTENDER
- Friendly, hardworking, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
- Problem solvers that can handle customer matters with courtesy, dignity and respect
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Prior Bartending experience required
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A BARTENDER
- Wipes, cleans and polishes the bar counter, shelves, bottles, glasses and equipment
- Inventories and stocks the bar for set up with beverage, garnishes and supplies
- Receives drink orders from patrons and wait staff
- Mixes ingredients (i.e. liquor, mixers and juices, sugar, fruit etc.) in preparing orders according to standard recipes
- Rings drink and food orders from bar patrons into the register
- Counts inventories and requisitions product and restocks the bar with beverage, utensils, linen, boutique product an supplies
- Stocks clean glassware on glass shelves behind the bar
- Slices, peels and arranges fruit and other garnishes
- Disassembles, cleans and reassembles blenders and other equipment
- Receives, rings up and collects money and makes change for employee shift meals
- Counts and verifies banks at the start of the shift, and takes a revenue report from the register, and counts and reconciles banks against sales at the end of the shift
- Collects and verifies “waiter banks” from the wait staff at the end of shift
- Checks ID’s to verify drinking age
- Socializes at the bar with patrons to create friendliness
- Breaks down bar at end of day and cleans counters, shelves, refrigerators, storage cabinets, sinks, floors and restocks to closing par levels
