As a Host, your main responsibility is to ensure exceptional guest experiences by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a bustling environment.

- Great verbal and written communication skills

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A HOST
- Greets every guest in a friendly manner as they enter the restaurant
- Checks host podium for complete set-up of materials and supplies at the start and end of shift
- Cleans menu covers, replaces old or worn menus and distributes to bars and dining rooms
- Escorts the guests to the requested and/or prearranged tables
- Assists with duties of servers such as resetting of table or filing guest requests
- Answers the phone promptly with friendly and cordial greeting
- Communicates with customers and vendors, relays incoming calls to the appropriate people and takes messages
- Actively listens patiently and politely to customer inquiries and complaints and provide specific and accurate information about the restaurant operation, directions to the restaurant and menu information
- Directs customer complaints and other problematical calls to the appropriate people; answers inquires about reservations, reviews reservations, review reservation book and informs customers about seating availability and accurately records reservations
- Prepares menus and reservation in the arrangement of tables and chairs for large parties
- Assists and directs personnel in the arrangement of tables and chairs for large parties
- Bids all departing parties a closing salutation and “Thank You”
- Inspects bathrooms; cleans and restocks bathrooms with supplies as needed
- Check back at tables to ensure customer satisfaction and to work customer relations
