Old Ebbitt Grill, an Iconic DC Restaurant, is looking for professional line cooks to join the team!

The culinary industry has always been highly regarded for its artistry and dedication to creating desirable dishes that excite the masses. At Old Ebbitt Grill, we are searching for skilled line cooks to join our culinary team and contribute their expertise in the preparation and execution of high-quality meals. 

As a line cook, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare ingredients and cook various dishes with precision; following our recipes, standards, and specifications. Working closely with our experienced chefs and tenured kitchen staff, you will also be responsible for ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency in our fast-paced environment. Collaboration throughout the team is crucial to maintaining a smooth operation, as we rely on each other's skills and expertise to create a memorable dining experience for our guests. A successful line cook possesses a variety of skills that contribute to their success, including attention to detail, commitment to recipe adherence, and alignment with the vision and goals of the kitchen.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A LINE COOK
  • Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
  • Experience as a cook desired, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A LINE COOK
  • Sets up cooking station with delicious food products and supplies
  • Reads computerized orders and uses recipes to cook orders
  • Operates kitchen equipment
  • Cleans, restocks, and organizes workstation during the shift
  • Follows Old Ebbitt Grill's high standards for food safety and quality
