Cordelia Fishbar will offer a distinctive dining experience, specializing in a global seafood-centric menu highlighted by charcoal cooking techniques and be located in the Union Market Neighborhood of DC.

WALK-INS: We welcome walk-ins to our recruiting office at 1309 5th St, NE, Washington, DC 20002 on the third floor. On 5th St, immediately after Union Market, up the white stairs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A PREP COOK

  • Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
  • Experience as a prep cook desired, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
  • Ability to read and prep recipes to measurements and standards
  • Available to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A PREP COOK

  • Wash, peel, slice, dice, chop, and otherwise prepare raw vegetables, meat and fish
  • Use a commercial food slicer to slice various meats, cheese, and vegetables
  • Use a commercial food processor to prep foods
  • Operate both convection and conventional ovens and gas ranges
  • Lift, handle, weigh, and portion food items using a commercial portion control scale
  • Label, date, and store prepped product
  • Clean, wipe, and scour prep equipment and machinery, and sweep and mop prep area floors
